My brand new website design service is aimed at Performing Artists who have finished their training and education and are now seeking employment in the Arts & Entertainment Industry. The service is also aimed at dancers, actors and singers who are still in training and want a strong online presence that will open up doors to other opportunities such as modelling, brand partnerships, casting calls or taking their next step with auditions.
Why should I get a website?
The first place that teachers, colleges and businesses go to when evaluating a person for a potential role is online. They want to see and get a feel of the 'real you' and what you have to offer. Yes, you may have an Instagram or Facebook page but ask yourself this. How active is it, how professional does it look and most importantly, does it give that person the right impression of you?
This will be your own space
One of the great things about having your own website is that it will by 100% owned by you. It's your little bit of online space on the internet which no one else can block, suspend or ban. Your website will be all about you and not shared with anyone. You even get your own personal www domain name to go with it which you can share with anyone at a click of a button.
How will my new website look?
It will look, feel and be a total reflection of you!
After taking some detailed information from you, I will get to work on your new website. If I know you well or have worked with you before, I will have an excellent idea on the look and feel of how you want it to be. If I haven't, don't worry, I will get all the information I need from you to create your new site.
Will I be able to make changes to the website after you've built it?
Yes!
Before your website goes live, I will pass it over to you for review and you are welcome to make as many changes as you would like at this stage. Once you are happy, your new website will be published and go live. You will then receive one of my easy to understand 'Client Packs' which will help you manage your website going forward.
For the first 12 months of having your website, I will make up to 6 small free of charge changes for you. This can be picture updates, added text areas or revisions to your existing content. Once 12 months have passed, any changes you would like done will be charged at a set rate. Please remember that the Client Pack I send you, will have all the information needed for you to easily make your own changes and amendments when you need to and if there's something you don't understand, you can contact me anytime.
How much will this all cost?
Hiring someone to design your website can be a real minefield so one of the things I have set out to do with this new service is be fully transparent with pricing and keep it as simple as possible.
There are 3 set costs involved with the creation and build of your website and at this stage, I am just offering one complete package.
Domain Registration
The first cost is your domain registration. This must be done to register your website so that you are the rightful legal owner. If we use your full name and providing it's not the exact match of a celebrity, the price will be anywhere up to £15 for a one year registration. This fee is paid directly to me.
Annual Hosting Costs
The annual hosting cost is paid to the company who owns the servers and software which allow your website to run and function 24/7/365 days a year. The monthly cost as of today is £12 per month + VAT, paid annually in one go. There is also a monthly payment option of £16 per month + VAT, but the payment monthly plan does work out more expensive over a 12 month period. The first annual payment is made to me as I will be setting up your website. After the first 12 months have passed, you can then renew your hosting plan directly with the provider.
The monthly cost to own your website works out to as little as 47p a day!
My Design & Build Cost
The fee I charge is reflective of the time and effort I will put into building your website and the help and support I can offer to promote your new site after it has gone live.
If you want to send me images that you already have and would like to use these for your website, my fee will be for the build and design cost only which is £350.
If you would like a fresh new collection of images tailored for your new website, I can offer you a professional shoot in the studio for £200.
Payment terms for building your website are the initial domain and hosting costs upfront, plus 50% of my fee. The balance of my fee is then paid on completion of your website, which will be approx 4 weeks from when you placed your order.
